The Sawshark is a fish that tried to eat Leo, when he's learning to swim in the ocean.

Appearances[]

Jungle Emperor (manga) (1977 version)[]

In "The Birth of Leo", the Sawshark attacks Kimba (Leo) and Jack (Jacques) on their raft, proceeding to saw away at the raft doing so. However, Kimba manages to beat him by shoving one of the logs into his mouth, leaving him stranded on the log. After learning about where Kimba was going, the Sawshark decides in his dying breath to help them, giving them a pair of Remora fish to help them swim to Africa.

Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor)[]

In "Go White Lion" he appears shortly after the fish try teaching Kimba how to swim. During the fight though, Kimba beats him by throwing a music box at him, which he swallows. He swims off laughing from the music box in his stomach.

The Symphonic Poem[]

His role within the Symphonic Poem is similar to his role in the 1965 series, except when he swallows the music box he appears to have a stomach ache, and swims away more in shame.
